These 10G Passive SFP+ Twinaxial Direct Attach Cables are designed to support connections for 10 Gbps Gigabit Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet switches with 10 Gbps Gigabit Ethernet uplink, much more faster than SFP which only supports 2.5 Gbps Gigabit Ethernet. With two cable models including the DEM-CB100S and DEM-CB300S, these cables are suitable for short distances up to 3 metres, and is ideal for highly cost-effective networking connectivity between switches and servers within a rack or in adjacent racks. Enhanced Small Form-factor Pluggable Format
These D-Link 10G Passive SFP+ Twinaxial Direct Attach Cables use Enhanced Small Form- factor Pluggable format (SFP+) connectors. The SFP+ form factor is smaller than other form factors such as Xenpak, X2, and 10G XFP, resulting in lower costs, lower power disruption, and higher port density. Meanwhile SFP+ connectors use the same space-per-port as standard SFP connectors but support higher data transmission speeds.
