Install into a PCIe x 4 (and up) expansion slot to add a removable and lockable M.2 NVMe drive tray (drive not included)Utilize an available PCIe 4.0 x4 expansion slot for the installation, removal, or interchange of PCIe M.2 SSDs. The drive tray accommodates M-Key M.2 NVMe SSDs in 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280 sizes.
Toolless Installation
Install an M.2 drive into the drive tray and insert the tray into the drive bay, without the need for tools. The drive tray features a power/activity LED indicator to monitor drive status. A latching mechanism with optional lock (2 keys included) deters the theft of mission-critical data storage devices.
Optimal Performance
The vented stainless-steel frame and tray with thermal pads aids heat dissipation, ensuring optimal and reliable performance while reducing potential thermal throttling. Anti-vibration springs on the drive tray reduce impact during installation and enhance the overall stability and longevity of the drive. A low-profile bracket is included for small form-factor systems.
Hot-Swappable
Additional drive trays (TR-M2-REMOVABLE-PCIE, sold separately) provide flexibility and convenience when managing multiple M.2 drives. NVMe PCIe hot swap support is dependent on the motherboard. Verify hot swap support with the manufacturer of the motherboard, and for instructions regarding how to enable this feature.
